1. What We Mean By zyFOCUS

zyFOCUS includes the web app, PWA, account and subscription surfaces, AI features, sharing features, and any related support or update pages we operate.

2. Data We Store Locally

• Content you create: Tasks, notes, calendar items, reminders, goals, themes, and profile settings are stored locally by default.
• Device and app state: We may store local identifiers, preferences, layout settings, and offline caches so the app can work smoothly.
• Backups and exports: If you export data, that export is created because you asked for it.

3. ZyMail Accounts and Sign-In

If you sign in with ZyMail, we store the ZyMail address as your primary account identity and may store the minimum profile and subscription details needed to link your account to zyFOCUS. We use that identity to keep your account state, entitlement status, and preferences consistent across sessions.

4. Optional Online Features

When you use optional online features, we may send only the data needed to provide that feature. This can include AI prompts, support messages, sync snapshots, share payloads, push subscription identifiers, and music playback requests.

• AI: Your prompt, context summary, and selected settings may be sent to the AI provider you choose or the provider we route through.
• Music: Searches or playback requests may be sent to third-party music catalogs or services.
• Subscription checks: We may verify account status and feature access with ZyMail or a connected billing/service endpoint.
• Sharing and sync: If you enable it, we process the information you explicitly choose to share or synchronize.

5. Information We May Receive

Depending on the features you use, we may receive your display name, email address, app preferences, feature status, support requests, analytics signals, and technical metadata such as device type, browser type, and timestamps.

6. How We Use Data

• To provide the app and keep your account working.
• To deliver optional features you enable.
• To verify subscription status, entitlements, and feature access.
• To improve reliability, security, and performance.
• To troubleshoot bugs or respond to support requests.

7. Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your personal content. We only share data with third-party providers when you intentionally use a feature that depends on them or when we need to operate the service securely.

Examples include AI providers, music providers, analytics or monitoring tools, push notification services, security checks, and hosting infrastructure. Those providers may process data under their own policies and terms.

8. Retention

Local data remains on your device until you delete it, clear your browser storage, or uninstall the app. Server-side records that support optional features are kept only as long as needed to operate those features, meet legal obligations, or prevent abuse.

9. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect the data we process. No system is perfectly secure, so please protect your device, passwords, transfer codes, and backups.

If we support encryption for exports or locked content, that encryption protects data in transit or at rest, but you remain responsible for keeping your secrets safe.

10. Your Choices

You can review and change many settings in the app, including sync, AI, notifications, and sharing. You may also export or delete local data at any time using the tools in the app.

11. Children

zyFOCUS is not intended for children under the minimum age required by local law to consent to data processing.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. When we do, we will replace the effective date on this page and may surface an in-app notice if the change is significant.
